Repair, Care, Preservation & Limited Warranty Policy

A Note From Our Studio

Every piece we create carries a story. These are not just jewelry items — they are moments of motherhood, remembrance, and love preserved in metal and stone.

Because each piece is handcrafted and custom made, gentle wear over time is natural. Our goal is to help you protect your keepsake for years to come while also setting clear expectations for repairs, preservation, and warranty coverage.

Immediate Inspection Requirement (3 Days)

All customers must inspect their jewelry within 3 days of confirmed delivery.

If you notice:

  • A loose stone

  • Visible damage

  • Structural concerns

You must contact us in writing within 3 days of delivery confirmation and stop wearing the piece immediately.

If we are not notified within this timeframe, the piece will be considered accepted in satisfactory condition. Any concerns reported after this window will be treated as standard wear and tear and subject to repair fees.

Limited 90-Day Craftsmanship Warranty

We stand behind our craftsmanship.

We offer a limited 90-day craftsmanship warranty beginning on the date of confirmed delivery.

This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in craftsmanship

  • Structural integrity issues not caused by impact, pressure, or improper wear

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Loose stones caused by impact, force, or improper care

  • Bent or warped bands

  • Damage from water, chemicals, lotions, perfumes, or cleaning agents

  • Lost stones

  • Third-party alterations or repairs

  • Damage resulting from failure to follow care guidelines

All claims require physical inspection by our studio. We reserve sole discretion in determining whether an issue qualifies as a craftsmanship defect.

Milk Preservation & Sentimental Material Policy

Due to the highly personal and irreplaceable nature of breastmilk and other sentimental inclusions, we take great care during preservation and setting.

By purchasing from Empowered Mama Jewelry, you acknowledge and agree:

  • Natural variations in color, tone, and texture may occur during preservation.

  • Breastmilk stones may naturally shift in shade over time due to environmental exposure.

  • No preservation method can guarantee permanent resistance to aging, oxidation, or environmental change.

  • We are not responsible for natural long-term changes in preserved stones.

  • Once your milk stone is set and delivered, ongoing care becomes the customer’s responsibility.

  • If mailed breastmilk or inclusions are lost in transit to our studio, liability is limited to the value of the jewelry order only.

  • We are not liable for emotional, sentimental, or irreplaceable value attached to preserved materials.

Every piece is created with care and respect for the story it holds, but preserved materials remain organic in nature.

Loose or Fallen Stones

If you notice a stone shifting, stop wearing the piece immediately and contact us.

If the Stone Is Saved

If the stone is:

  • Undamaged

  • Returned safely with your piece

Only the repair labor fee will apply. No replacement stone fee will be charged.

If the Stone Is Lost or Damaged

If the stone:

  • Is not returned

  • Is damaged beyond reuse

A replacement stone fee will apply in addition to the repair labor fee. Replacement pricing varies based on size, material, and availability.

We are not responsible for stones lost prior to notification.

Third-Party Alterations & Unauthorized Repairs

All repairs, resizing, stone adjustments, polishing, or structural modifications must be performed exclusively by Empowered Mama Jewelry.

Any work performed by a third-party jeweler or repair service immediately voids:

  • The 90-day craftsmanship warranty

  • Eligibility for complimentary evaluation

  • Any future liability related to structural integrity

We are not responsible for damage, stone loss, discoloration, or structural issues resulting from third-party alterations.

If a piece has been altered elsewhere, we reserve the right to refuse repair or require full reconstruction pricing.

Standard Repair Fees

All repairs require a handwork labor fee, which covers:

  • Inspection and evaluation

  • Stone resetting

  • Structural reinforcement

  • Polishing and finishing

Repair pricing varies based on complexity and will be quoted for written approval before work begins.

Additional Repair Services (Fees Apply)

We offer:

  • Stone tightening and preventative maintenance

  • Ring resizing (if structurally possible)

  • Prong rebuilding or reinforcement

  • Band reshaping due to bending or impact

  • Milk stone refinishing (if structurally viable)

  • Chain or clasp repair

All services require written approval prior to completion.

Repair Timeline

Once your piece is received at our studio:

  • Inspection: 3–5 business days

  • Repair turnaround: 2–8 weeks, depending on repair complexity and current studio volume

Turnaround begins after inspection and written approval.

Shipping time is not included in repair timelines. Delays may occur during peak seasons or high-volume periods.

We prioritize structural integrity and quality over speed to ensure your keepsake is properly restored.

Rush Repair Service

If capacity allows, rush repair may be available for an additional fee.

Rush service:

  • Is not guaranteed

  • Does not include expedited shipping unless purchased separately

  • Will be quoted individually

Shipping Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Safely packaging their item

  • Insured shipping to our studio

  • Return shipping costs

We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to our studio.

Care Guidelines

To protect your keepsake, remove before:

  • Showering or swimming

  • Excessive hand washing

  • Exercising

  • Sleeping

  • Applying lotions, perfumes, or cleaning chemicals

Improper care may void warranty eligibility.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the physical jewelry item at our discretion.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss occurring due to failure to follow care instructions

  • Emotional, sentimental, or irreplaceable value associated with preserved materials
